FlexArm ergonomic handling robotic arms (Part Manipulator Arms)
1. FlexArm Part Manipulator Arms - ergonomically designed to handle many different parts at once
Parts handling is essential both on the production floor and in the transport of materials. However, in the case of narrow spaces, especially in machining centres or production line workstations with strict space requirements, the handling of slightly heavy parts by hand alone presents difficulties in terms of low weight and low efficiency.
FlexArm has designed and mass-produced the ergonomically improved Part Manipulator Arms of the FlexERGO series to meet the above-mentioned operational challenges and to significantly improve operational efficiency in confined working areas. Our Part Manipulator Arms are designed with different end-effector/gripper designs to meet this requirement.
Our customised 'C-clamp' style gripper is paired with the PM 44-S handling robot arm to lift and manipulate the customer's parts. The customised gripper is designed to grip four different parts, all of which are long and thin. Some parts have a rectangular cross-section, while others are cylindrical. All parts are 3 to 3.5 feet long and weigh approximately 15kg.
The gripper jaws are designed to accommodate rectangular and cylindrical part cross-sections. The gripper fingers are also lined with textured rubber, which increases the grip of the clamps. This also prevents any damage caused by the gripper coming into contact with the part.
The part robot picks up the parts from the horizontal direction (placed on the trolley), lifts them, rotates them to the vertical direction and places them in the test fixture. After completing the test operation, they are lifted again from the vertical direction, rotated 90 degrees back to the horizontal direction and then placed in the package.
2. FlexArm Part Manipulator Arms - ergonomic handling solutions to reduce damage caused by the handling of parts on machining centres such as bending machines
Operating a machining centre such as a bending machine can be very dangerous and can even cause major injuries as the parts are often large and heavy. For medium to large machining centres, where parts can weigh 25-60 kg, safe, efficient and easy handling solutions are essential. For parts of any shape, the FlexERGO Part Manipulator Arms can solve these problems with customised end-effectors.

The gripper has V-block fingers which allow the customer to lift and enter two profiles into the bending machine. the V-block gripper is lined with knurled rubber to prevent the round shaft from rotating in the gripper fingers. The gripper will also rotate approximately 270° on the vertical axis to provide the user with greater flexibility.

This lifting solution helps to reduce bending machine injuries by keeping the operator's hands away from the bending machine and eliminating strenuous loading and unloading movements.
